PFA MARQUEE
Our marquee was purchased in 2003 from a long-established tent maker and hirer based in Dorset. The main reason for the purchase was to avoid external marquee hire costs for PFA functions, particularly the annual fete.

It has also brought the PFA a very valuable income stream from hiring the marquee to private users. Over the years it has generated hire income of between £15,000 and £20,000.

The marquee is of traditional design with two main centre poles and measures 62 feet by 42 feet. Coconut matting is laid as a floor when events require it. It can accommodate as many as 150 people seated.

The marquee is erected and taken down by a working party of PFA members and local volunteers. We usually look for a team of at least a dozen volunteers for each erection – it is heavy work. Additional helpers are always welcome.
Enquiries about marquee hire should be made to Tony Knight, PFA committee member on 01823 421621.
